What is Microsoft Planner?
Microsoft Planner is the latest project management solution from Microsoft. Available natively in Microsoft 365, a replacement for desktop Microsoft Project, it offers a modern experience that’s fully integrated with the wider platform including Teams, Copilot, and AI Agents. All M365 users can access basic Planner.

Microsoft Planner Premium
Microsoft Planner is available as Basic and Premium. Basic is the version bundled with M365 and introduces best practice task management. Stepping up to the Premium license provides range of additional scheduling capabilities, from Gantt charts to critical path calculations.
The Premium version has two variants; Teams experience and Web. It is the web version; known as Planner for the web, that really transforms your project management.
